Contains Duplicate II Python

Given an array of integers and an integer k, find out whether there are two distinct indices i and j in the array such that nums[i] = nums[j] and the absolute difference between i and j is at most k.
Example 1:
Input: nums = [1,2,3,1], k = 3
Output: true
Example 2:
Input: nums = [1,0,1,1], k = 1
Output: true
Example 3:
Input: nums = [1,2,3,1,2,3], k = 2
Output: false
Using Hashmap:
class Solution:
    def containsNearbyDuplicate(self, nums: List[int], k: int) -> bool:
        hashmap = {}
        for i in range(0,len(nums)):
            if nums[i] in hashmap and abs(hashmap[nums[i]] - i) <= k:
                return True
            else:
                hashmap[nums[i]] = i
        return False
Time Complexity : O(n)
Space Complexity :O(n,k)
